Bio

Lee Taylor is the CEO and co-founder of TheraTogs, Inc. Lee has 20 years of business management experience in operations management, information design, and information development. He is the former co-founder, COO, and CEO of a Web-based event management services start-up that has been in continuous operation since 1999. His accomplishments in that role include:

  • Assisted in the raising of a “friends-and-family” initial round of $125,000.
  • Designed, developed, and maintained a Web-based event booking platform in Cold Fusion which is still in use today.
  • Took over CEO role at the board’s request upon the departures of both the co-founder and the previous CEO; trimmed company by 50%, re-established growth course, and raised an additional Series C round of $1.5M from existing investors; led company to its first “million-dollar month” (in transaction volume); identified and hired a replacement CEO.
  • Upon termination of anticipated funding tranche due to general market conditions, negotiated workout with trade creditors and negotiated sale of company assets to new operating company.

Lee previously consulted to companies such as IBM, John Deere, ROLM, and International Paper on documentation and information distribution systems design. He has produced or managed the development of a wide range of technical documentation and training resources, and has developed and delivered instructor-led training on a variety of technical subjects. Lee has also co-authored four technical trade books (two award-winners) on Web design and development technologies. In addition to various feature articles in the technical press, he has published several papers and presented numerous times to technical communicators on the topics of interactive and online information.

A former Senior Member of the Society for Technical Communications, Lee earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of the South (Sewanee), and an M.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University.
