Jeannie Stewart

Biography

Jeannie Stewart has lived in the San Miguel River Watershed since 1985. She has a BA degree in Natural History and a minor in Environmental Education from St. Mary's University and received her MAT degree in 1991 in Elementary Education from Colorado College. She directed and taught for two small parent cooperatives in Telluride and Ridgway for elementary-aged children, and in the Telluride School District as a Resource Coordinator and teacher for grades K-12.. Since 2002 she has been working with the Telluride Institute's Watershed Education Project, teaching classes about the unique local environment in the area's three school districts.
